ive watched Osama last month(maybe…xsure)and yes,i give two thumbs up for that movie.succesfully,they make me cry (i rarely cry or laugh when i watch a movie).
the story is about a 12-years old Afghan girl.she and her mother lose their job when the Taliban close the hospital where they work.they also cant walk out freely as Taliban forbids every female walking without a ‘legal companion’ @ husband/father/brother/uncle etc…with her father and uncle died,there is no1 left to support the family(she,her mother and her granny).her mother have only one hope and that is,her daughter.she disguises her daughter as a boy and ask her to go out and work.her granny cut her middle-length hair and the girl sadly planted her hair in a small pot and waters it everyday.she then work with a kind man(her father’s friend)selling fresh milk.the journey started when she had to go for friday prayers which she doesnt know how to do it(she dont know how to pray).there is this one boy who knows that she is actually a girl and at first he persuaded her to give him something in return for keeping it as a secret.the problem starts a few days later,when the taliban started to collect all the young boys and send them for an army training.she had been taken away by the Taliban while she was working and yes,neither her mother nor her granny knew about this.with a girlish face and a sweet voice.kids there always tease her and make her cry(a teacher called her a nymph).the boy that has been keeping her secret is now her best friend and always keep her safe.she is safe for now as she hasnt develop her womenly body figure.
one day,she was dare by one of the kids to climb up a tree to prove that she is a boy.the problem is,she can climb the tree but can never climb down herself.so when the teachers knew about this,she was punished.they hang her in a well and leave her crying alone.after a few hours,one of theacher decided to pull her back up.now,another problem comes.she had her first period.and now,she can no longer kept her secret.she tried to run away but everybody is chasing her.they lock her up and the judge had reach a decision.her punishment : burried alive while people throwing stones at her till she die.but one of her teacher decided to marry her and save her from that punishment.she was then maried to a grandpa-look-a-like man.he took her to his house.to her suprised,that old man has many wives and lock each and every of his wive in that house.and her life continues…
it touches my heart in every way.such an innocent life has been destroyed by her own people.every scene in this movie is a success.and why is the name osama??haha~ u guys for sure will be thinking of osama laden but hell no! this isnt about him.osama is a common name for male and female in the middle-east.
