so here goes…i had quite a tussle with my last paper.but wth?! IT’s OVER.that is all matter to me right now.i can cry and be all frustrated,L8R.
so muharram lend me a book called ‘I AM MUSLIM’ by Dina Zaman.let me comment0 a bit about the book.as a malaysian reader,i enjoy it very much.fun writing i must say.but if let say anam(my americanize arabic friend) reads it,she will be damn confused about the story line.ala….the sentence will always have our famous slang lahh…
speaking about -lah,let me list down what anam and i had gone through in our conversation from the first day we met.me,as her BM teacher and she,as my american-english teacher.
1. she said that malaysian people ‘choke’ on every word that have K
snek vs snack
it is like mengaji…they have their own qalqalah and all.ours is down right simple
2. she pronounce mahkota as mahkuta
3. cehh-lahh….
she got excited with this cehh… thing.she even use it everytime she talks to us
"cehh-lahh…."
4. malaysian people are small aka short,that’s why they like to make everything short

mcdonald’s - McD (i swear to god she didn’t have a clue what it was ha ha )
airconditioner - air-cond (but pure arab people use AC instead)

we always compare about everything.
about foods(food is always in my interest):
she told me that here,it is always small small small even McD is small.there,it is always large large large.big mac is like kiddie’s meal there.
about shoes:
everybody have different color of flip-flops that can match with their shalwar kameez
etcetera…etcetera…etcetera…
if i ever move out,i’m going to miss her
(im writing this here coz she didnt know about the existence of my blog! ;p i dont want to be all sappy about it hahaha~)
